Provenance
Fibre History
Used in the construction of tailored men’s shirts since the late 1700s, cotton remains one of the most enduring and versatile natural fibres. Celebrated for its superior comfort, durability, and adaptability, cotton delivers a soft hand-feel while retaining the strength needed for garments that stand the test of time. Its hypoallergenic qualities mean it is gentle on the skin and non-irritative, making it suitable for even the most sensitive wearers. Cotton’s natural moisture-wicking properties allow the skin to ‘breathe’, drawing away perspiration to maintain comfort and keep the body cool in warmer conditions. Highly absorbent and breathable, it adapts across climates and seasons, ensuring ease of wear in both professional and casual settings. In addition, cotton’s durability ensures that garments retain their structure and appearance over time, withstanding regular laundering while becoming softer with each wear. The result is a fabric that blends heritage and practicality: timeless, refined, and effortlessly wearable.
