M.J. Bale: Hi Allie and Lucas. Congratulations on your wedding! How did you two first meet?
Allie: Lucas was in the year above me at the same school. However, it wasn't until just after I finished year 12 that we saw each other through mutual friends at a local pub. I made sure I was always there when Lucas was.... Ha!

MJB: And was it love at first sight?
Allie: Absolutely. Especially for me, I had the biggest crush on Lucas. Fast-forward 11 years, and we finally tied the knot.

MJB: Allie, what was it about Lucas that made you fall for him?
Allie: Lucas is funny, kind, and so patient with me. Keeps me grounded. Also, you can’t beat his dance moves!

MJB: And Lucas, what did you love about Allie?
Lucas: At first, it was Allie’s smile and energy. As we got to know one another, her sweet, loving nature and sense of humour (she’s incredibly funny) got me hooked.

MJB: Tell us about the proposal. Where was it? How did it happen? Was it a surprise?
Lucas: A HUGE surprise. Even though we were together for such a long time, Allie had absolutely no idea. We went for a holiday in Bali, and I hid the ring box in a shoe the whole trip (talk about risky!), and after two weeks of holidays I proposed on the last day just before boarding the plane back home.

MJB: Tell us a bit about your choice to don an M.J. Bale number for the wedding. Were you chuffed with the outcome?
Lucas: I ALWAYS knew it had to be an M.J. Bale suit for our big day. MJB has always aligned with my style and taste. If I had my way, my wardrobe would be filled exclusively with MJB fits (work & socially). Chuffed is an understatement - the design and fit were a dream. This sentiment also goes for the team who helped me out - they were all so great to deal with and were extremely knowledgeable, while still allowing me to have free reign with what I had envisioned for the day.

MJB: Any advice for aspiring grooms out there, whether about the proposal or Big Day itself?
Lucas: It goes without saying, get your “dream” suit from M.J Bale. It’s the easiest decision I’ve made - second to marrying Allie, of course. I don’t have any advice, as it is so special and unique to all (and has no playbook). All I can say is enjoy the process and lap up the flood of love coming your way.
